EPDM moulded hoses to EN 45545-2 for rail vehicles

For rail vehicles there are EPDM moulded hoses made from a tested, sulphur-cured and halogen-free compound matched to the requirements of EN 45545-2. They are suitable for applications under requirement sets R22 and R23 at hazard levels HL1 and HL2.

Moulded hoses are mainly used in cooling and lubrication systems in plant engineering, engine building, vehicle construction, mechanical engineering and special machinery. We also supply moulded hoses to the renewable energy sector. They are used in motor racing too.

How moulded hoses are made

The tools for moulded hoses and bends are made with proven regional partners. Moulded hoses are made by machine or fabricated by hand, and vulcanised in our own autoclave. On request we issue test reports for your moulded hoses, for example on a pressure test or on fire protection.

Do you make moulded hoses to measure?

Yes. Every moulded hose is shaped to the requirement profile of your application.

What does DIN 73411 cover?

For coolant lines in motor vehicles, DIN 73411 sets the dimensions, materials and marking of hoses and hose bends (part 1), plus requirements and testing (part 2).

Do you supply coolant hoses for vehicle construction?

Yes. We supply coolant hoses for vehicle construction and construction machinery as well as for classic cars and racing cars.

Can you reproduce a moulded hose for a classic car?

Yes. For classic cars and racing cars we reproduce moulded hoses from the removed original, for example for coolant, oil, petrol or charge air.

With or without fabric reinforcement?

Both designs are possible. A fabric insert acts as reinforcement and increases the pressure rating of the hose.
